In the Spotlight with Eric Morrison

We all know the saying that “The home is where the heart is”. It is an expression that conjures up images of beginnings, traditions, growth, a bit of turmoil, and a bit of peace. It is no surprise then that the band, Home, is also known for these things.

The band, which formed in Tampa, Florida in the early 90′s, was originally a lo-fi band who used traditional, primitive recording methods. The band, since then, has grown and evolved over the years into a musical group that delivers clean, refined music with their own style, producing songs with a little bit of rock, a little bit of pop, a little bit of experimentation, and everything in between, all inspired by an equal number of influences, from David Bowie, to Elton John, to Devo Faust.

Their albums can truly be considered “homemade”, as many of them were self-produced, and distributed through independent record companies, before finally signing with a major label.

And despite reaching their much deserved success, the b
